The Close-up shot shows mostly only the face or object that it is showing. When a close-up of a face is shown, you can see the character's emotions fully. This is often used to make you feel closer to the character.
The Medium shot of a person shows some emotion, but does not only show the face. The medium shot usually shows half of the human body (unless the person is small (child/baby ect)) which can express their body language as well as some emotion on the face.
The Long shot of a person shows their whole body, some body language and facial emotion, but is usually used to show what they are doing and what is around them. Most common in scenes where people are walking.The long shot is often mixed up with the Two shot.
The Two shot is a shot where the focus is on two people in the frame. Often used during romance, chat and table scenes, the two shot is mostly there to show the people talking to each other.
The Crane shot is a shot from a higher angle which is only achievable when using a crane hence the name crane shot. (you could achieve this using rooftops and ladders but generally a crane is used)
